What's the minimum order quantity?
Our standard minimum is 100 badges, which includes the one-time $250 design fee. If you need fewer than 100, contact us — for smaller pilot programs or test orders, we can sometimes accommodate smaller quantities at a slightly higher per-unit cost.
What does the design process look like?
After you submit a quote request, our team will reach out to discuss your brand, logo, colors, and any specific design ideas. We create a custom digital proof and send it to you for review. Nothing goes to production until you approve the proof. One revision is included with all orders; additional revisions are available at a nominal cost.
How does the recovery technology work for our members?
Each badge has a unique QR code. When a badge recipient receives their badge, they register it at getu2me.com — entering their name, email, phone, and up to two emergency contacts. If their item is ever lost and found, a good Samaritan scans the QR code with any smartphone camera (no app needed). Instantly, the owner receives a text, email, and voice call — plus alerts to their emergency contacts — with the approximate GPS location of the finder. The finder never sees the owner's personal information.
Do our members need to download an app?
No app is ever required — for the badge owner or the finder. The badge owner registers once at getu2me.com (a simple web form, no account creation needed). The finder just scans the QR code with their phone's built-in camera. That's it. This is a major advantage over competing products that require app downloads.
Can we customize the badge with our own QR code destination?
The QR codes on all U2ME™ badges point to our recovery system — that's what powers the instant alerts. The badge design (logo, colors, artwork) is fully customized to your organization. If you have a specific need for custom QR destinations, contact us to discuss enterprise options.
What happens after the first year of protection?
Each badge includes 1 year of active protection from the date of activation. After the first year, badge holders can renew their protection for $9.99/year — a fraction of the cost of replacing any lost item. We send renewal reminders at 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before expiration.
How long does production and shipping take?
After proof approval, standard orders (100–999 badges) ship within 7–14 business days. Volume orders (1,000–4,999) ship within 10–14 business days. Enterprise orders (5,000+) have custom lead times discussed at the time of quoting. If you have a hard deadline (conference, orientation day, etc.), let us know in your quote request and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
Can we reorder the same design later?
Yes — and reorders are faster and cheaper. We keep your artwork on file. Reorders skip the design phase entirely, so you only pay the per-badge production cost (no design fee). Reorders typically ship within 5–10 business days.
