Welcome to U2ME™ Codes, operated by Found It Safe LLC. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing our products or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
U2ME™ Codes are smart QR code tags that can be attached to personal belongings. When someone scans your code, our service helps reunite lost items with their owners. Our service includes:
- U2ME™ Labels and Badges shipped to your address
- Activation and registration of your U2ME™ Code with your contact preferences
- A secure found page where finders can help return your item
- Automated recovery notifications — when you opt in, a scan can trigger simultaneous text, email, and voice alerts to you and up to two designated emergency contacts (up to nine notifications total)
- Secure storage of your contact and item preferences for the duration of your service period
Organization and bulk orders may be subject to separate agreements or quotes in addition to these Terms.
3. Service Period
Each U2ME™ Code purchase includes a one (1) year service period beginning on the date of purchase. Your code must be activated and registered to receive recovery notifications. During the service period, your U2ME™ Code will remain active and functional. After the service period expires:
- Your U2ME™ Code may be deactivated
- Finders who scan a deactivated code will see a message that the code is no longer active
- You will receive a renewal reminder via email before expiration
- Renewal options will be available to extend your service at the then-current price
Renewal fees are separate from your initial purchase and are generally non-refundable once the renewal period has begun, except where required by law or as we may choose to offer at our discretion. We recommend replacing physical U2ME™ Codes periodically due to normal wear and tear.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- Provide accurate and complete information, including a valid shipping address
- Only provide contact information for individuals who have consented to be listed as emergency or recovery contacts
- Obtain consent from each designated contact before U2ME™ may reach them via SMS or voice call for lost-item recovery
- Use the service for lawful purposes only
- Not use the service to harass, stalk, or harm others

5. Lost Item Recovery & Notifications
When someone finds your lost item and scans your U2ME™ Code, they are directed to a secure found page. Depending on your setup and notification preferences:
- Automated alerts: If you have opted in and your code is activated, a scan can automatically trigger recovery notifications via SMS text message, email, and voice call to you and your designated emergency contacts — up to nine simultaneous alerts across all channels
- Finder coordination: Finders may also use the secure found page to help coordinate return of your item. Your direct phone number and email address are not displayed to finders unless you choose to share them through our relay system
- Repeat scans: To prevent duplicate alerts, if the same code is scanned again within a short period, full SMS and voice notifications may be limited while email notifications may still be sent
Recovery notifications require your opt-in consent during the order process. Consent is not required to complete your purchase. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
6. Payments, Refunds & Guarantee
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars unless otherwise stated.
Every U2ME™ Label and Badge order is backed by our 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied, contact us at support@getu2me.com within 30 days of your purchase date with your order number or the email used to place your order. We will process a full refund to your original payment method within 2–3 business days. You do not need to return physical U2ME™ Codes. Upon refund, your QR code will be deactivated.
Refunds are available within 30 days of the original purchase date even if your U2ME™ Code was used to help recover a lost item during that period. After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion except where required by law.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Physical U2ME™ Labels and Badges are shipped to the address you provide at checkout. We aim to ship orders within 1–2 business days. Delivery times vary by carrier and destination and are not guaranteed. You are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier.
8. Limitation of Liability
U2ME™ Codes provide a communication tool to help reunite lost items with their owners. We do not guarantee that lost items will be found or returned. We are not responsible for:
- Items that are lost, stolen, or damaged
- Failure of physical tags due to wear, adhesive failure, or improper application
- Actions taken by finders of your items
- Failure of third parties, carriers, or networks to deliver notifications or return items
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific U2ME™ Code or service giving rise to the claim.
9. Intellectual Property
U2ME™ and the U2ME™ Codes name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Found It Safe LLC. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission. Your purchase grants you a limited license to use the physical tags and associated QR code service for personal lost-item recovery during your active service period. You do not acquire ownership of our software, QR routing system, or branding.
10. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
11. SMS, Voice & Messaging Terms
By opting in during the order process, you consent to receive automated SMS text messages and voice calls from U2ME™ regarding lost-and-found notifications for your account and registered items. Consent is not required to complete your purchase.
- Purpose: Messages and calls are sent only in connection with lost-item recovery events, such as when someone scans your U2ME™ QR code
- Channels: SMS text message, email, and automated voice call
- Frequency: Message frequency varies based on scan and recovery activity (many customers receive few or no messages per year)
- Designated contacts: If you provide emergency or recovery contacts, you represent that you have obtained their consent for U2ME™ to contact them via SMS and voice call for recovery purposes only. Contact outreach is never used for marketing
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any SMS message to unsubscribe. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further SMS messages will be sent
- Help: Reply HELP for assistance or email support@getu2me.com
- Costs: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier
- Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
- No sharing: Your consent to receive messages will not be sold or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes
- Consent record: We record the timestamp, consent language version, and method of consent for compliance purposes

12. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business. You may request deactivation of your U2ME™ Code at any time by contacting us.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be brought in the courts located in Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
