1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing our products or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
Found It Safe provides QR code tags that can be attached to personal belongings. When scanned, these codes display contact information to help reunite lost items with their owners. Our service includes:
- Digital QR codes delivered via email
- Physical laminated QR code stickers shipped to your address
- SMS notifications when your QR code is scanned
- A secure database to store your contact preferences
3. Service Period
Each SafeCode⢠purchase includes a three (3) year service period from the date of purchase. During this period, your SafeCode⢠will remain active and functional. After the service period expires:
- Your SafeCode⢠may be deactivated
- You will receive a renewal reminder via email before expiration
- Renewal options will be available to extend your service
We recommend replacing physical SafeCodes⢠periodically due to normal wear and tear.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Only provide contact information for individuals who have consented to be listed
- Use the service for lawful purposes only
- Not use the service to harass, stalk, or harm others
- Keep your account information secure
5. SMS Communications
Found It Safe offers optional SMS text message notifications. SMS consent is collected separately from your purchase through our Notification Preferences page and is not required to purchase, register, or use our services.
If you choose to opt in to SMS notifications, you may receive messages related to:
- Notifications when your SafeCode is scanned
- Account-related alerts
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also manage your preferences at any time on our Notification Preferences page.
6. Payments and Refunds
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars. Digital products are delivered immediately and are non-refundable. For physical products, please contact us within 30 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied, and we will work to resolve the issue.
7. Limitation of Liability
Found It Safe provides a communication tool to help reunite lost items with their owners. We do not guarantee that lost items will be found or returned. We are not responsible for:
- Items that are lost, stolen, or damaged
- Actions taken by finders of your items
- Failure of third parties to return items
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for our services.
8. Intellectual Property
The Found It Safe name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Found It Safe LLC. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
9. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
